Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic: TGKEM contains Tigecycline, used to treat complicated infections such as intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia, especially when caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.

Mechanism of Action: Tigecycline is a glycylcycline antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, effectively stopping bacterial growth.

Administration & Cautions: Administered intravenously in a hospital setting; dose adjustment may be needed in liver impairment. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and potential increased mortality risk in certain serious infections—so it's reserved for cases where alternative treatments are not suitable.

Prevent dehydration and electrolyte imbalance following significant fluid loss.

Chemotherapy Agent: Kemocarb 150 contains Carboplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy drug used to treat various cancers including ovarian, lung, head and neck, and bladder cancers.

Mechanism of Action: Carboplatin causes DNA crosslinking, which interferes with DNA replication and transcription, leading to cancer cell death.

Administration & Monitoring: Administered intravenously under medical supervision; dosing is often based on kidney function (using the Calvert formula), with careful monitoring for side effects like myelosuppression, kidney toxicity, and nausea.

Thrombolytic Agent: TNKPLASE contains Tenecteplase, a genetically engineered form of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) used for the emergency treatment of acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) to rapidly dissolve blood clots.

Mechanism of Action: It acts by converting plasminogen to plasmin, an enzyme that breaks down fibrin in blood clots, helping restore blood flow in blocked coronary arteries.

Administration & Safety: Given as a single intravenous bolus based on body weight; it should be administered as soon as possible (ideally within 6 hours of symptom onset). Close monitoring is essential due to the risk of bleeding, particularly intracranial hemorrhage.
